Brothers and Sisters in Jesus/Family & Friends,
We are still here in the north of Brazil seeking to do the will of our Father. This month has been another slow month with opposition and some challenges that keep it difficult for us to progress toward the fulfillment of the vision we believe the Lord has put before us for this place. There are definitely some truths that are clear in situations like this. A big reality is that it has to be the Lord who establishes the plans and purposes He has for us. All of our plans and aims may seem noble and good, but in the end it is what the Lord seeks to establish that will prosper and succeed. We need to seek His plan and His way. These will succeed.
For several years I have been living in a defense posture in my personal life and I have not kept a strong focus on trust in the Lord. In our hearts, there is a highest place that is a central part of our being. I understood for many years that this place was intended to be where the Lord was enthroned in my heart – in this highest place. And I lived with the blessing of the Lord in my life living in this perspective. I never had great abundance, but always enough. I understood that this was the Lord’s way of teaching me that He is all I need. I made a decision that the environment I am working in now has improved enough that I could return to this trust in Jesus in my heart with the intention that He would begin causing the blessings of His presence to manifest for us here. Maybe this is something the Lord is bringing you into also. If so, let me just say that there are many promises in scripture for those who trust in the Lord (or believe in Him). If He is challenging you in this way, the result will be much better. Be blessed.
Thank you for your prayers and support. Please continue as the Lord leads you. (In the past, I had a card intended to be stuck on the refrigerator by a magnet to remind people to pray for us. Please do that. It’s easy. Whenever you open the refrigerator, you see our names and pray a short prayer on a regular and consistent basis. Things like that help more than you know.) When one is away from family and friends, the importance of prayers and support is much clearer. Thanks again for these prayers and support.
We love you in Jesus.
