Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Family and Friends,
Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus and Merry Christmas to all.
Here we are at the end of another year. I haven’t seen any of you for more than 5 years because I have been here for more than 5 years now. It’s been great to talk to the youth in the Brazilian Detention Homes where we minister. We have continued doing this for several years now. This month, we went to the two different facilities as we normally do, but a niece here is not doing well as far as her health. So we have missed a few occasions to be in the facilities. Please pray for her healing.
We don’t minister a watered-down version of the Gospel. We teach that we can’t continue practicing sin, especially sins as in the lists in Gal. 5:19-21. At the end of this list Paul says that those who do such things shall not inherit the Kingdom of God. The Greek word for “do” in this context would be better translated “practice.” If we practice the sins in this list we won’t inherit the Kingdom of God. But still quite a few youth hearing this and knowing this are returning to the Lord or giving their lives to the Lord for the first time. And what we have always intended to do here is provide a home for them and for children who have no home and live on the streets. That’s always been our vision and still is. If you want to be involved with us, the best and most important thing you can do for us and this vision is pray.
I still give my testimony at least in part because my background is much like one of these youth. But I find myself giving more attention to the testimony of Jesus. After all, the message we are ministering is the testimony of Jesus. We focus largely on the end of His earthly life when we minister, but the message of salvation is the testimony of Jesus, especially relating to His death and resurrection. I believe staying close to this message is at least in part how we keep our edge in the spirit world. Rev. 19:10 says “the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.” So look for opportunities to give the testimony of Jesus to those who don’t know Him.
Please continue to pray for us. Thank you for your prayers and support. Something you can pray about is an ad package that has my book Trusting Relationship on Goodreads. I always thought it was from the Lord for us to be supported by proceeds from this book. Please pray for that. Also, if you would like to support us financially, you can do so on our website www.agapeofabba.com
Be blessed. We love you in Jesus. Merry Christmas.
Joseph, Cristina & Hadassa
