Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Family & Friends,

Greetings in the name of Jesus. I hope things are going well for you since the last time I wrote to you. We are here in our place doing our work among the youth.

This month was going a bit slow for me, but Monday when we went in to one of the Brazilian Detention Homes, one of the youth decided to return to the Lord, realizing that it was his own sin that caused him to come to the facility. There are many who are in these “Detention Homes” whose parents are involved in churches. They went with their parents to church and many had already given their lives to the Lord, but then followed the influence of friends and ended up there. Many of those like this don’t want to return to the Lord until they get out. Please pray for them. This youth I spoke with on Monday was not one of them. He didn’t wait, but gave his life to the Lord anew while in the cell. Praise Jesus.

I have become reacquainted with the truth of the word that the separation (or death) that is caused by sin means that the human spirit in Adam and Eve was separated from the Spirit of the Lord when they first sinned, and that that separation continues in all men and women until now. But when a person believes the truth of the gospel, that Jesus died on the cross to be a substitute to pay for my sins and yours, then the reason for the separation is no longer a problem. My sins are paid for by Jesus. So those of us who believe this and in the resurrection of Jesus and trust in who He is, have the Holy Spirit joined to our human spirit as Adam and Eve had before they sinned. This is how we have power to live for the Lord and no longer for sin.

I found in Psalms 20 some scripture that I would greatly appreciate if you would pray for us: 1May the Lord answer you in the day of trouble;
May the name of the God of Jacob defend you;
2 May He send you help from the sanctuary,
And strengthen you out of Zion;
3 May He remember all your offerings,
And accept your burnt sacrifice. Selah
4 May He grant you according to your heart’s desire,
And fulfill all your purpose.
5 We will rejoice in your salvation,
And in the name of our God we will set up our banners!
May the Lord fulfill all your petitions.
6 Now I know that the Lord saves His anointed;
He will answer him from His holy heaven
With the saving strength of His right hand. (NKJV)
Thank you for your prayers and support. Please continue to pray for us. These verses would be greatly appreciated if you can pray these for us. I will also pray these for you.
We love you in the Lord.
