Brothers and Sisters in Jesus, Family & Friends,

Thank you for your prayers and support. By the grace of God we are continuing to minister to the youth and adolescent boys in the Brazilian “Detention Homes.” The month of July is normally a slow month here. School is on break for summer vacation and many things slow down. The school year starts in February and the first semester ends in late June. The second semester is from August to December. I could give you names of individuals to pray for, but they are minors and their identities need to be protected. But we continue to see the same results. Some come to Jesus for the first time and are like me, being plucked from the fire to sit on the lap of my new DAD who sits on the throne. While He embraces me, He is applying a healing balm of His Spirit that heals the burns while He loves me. Others are like the prodigal son. And when their DAD sees them a long way off, runs to them and embraces them. Please pray for those who have been in the church and turned aside by the influence of friends and ended up where they are. Many of them want to wait for a better time to come to the Lord. Their families are still in churches and at times in leadership positions in churches. They should not wait.

We are still in some challenging times that make it hard to do all we would like to do here. Please pray that the Lord will open the right doors for us to bring about His plans and will. Please pray that He make His will clearer and enable us to walk in it.

Regarding events happening in the US, it’s important that we not put any hindrance in the way of people coming to the Lord or being offended by political stances we hold, heritage issues from the past we hold to, or important causes we value. The most valuable thing we have is our relationship with Jesus; and the most valuable thing we can give anyone else is this same relationship with Jesus. And if we hold on to anything that can hinder people from coming to Jesus, we need to let it go. And if we hold on to anything that can hinder a brother or sister from living in that relationship, we need to let it go.

Be blessed. We love you.

Joseph, Cristina & Hadassa
